Commented Unassigned: Invalid cache headers when not using Styles/Scripts.Render [70]

Because we use the current assembly version in our web project we cannot use the built-in Styles/Scripts.Render methods for rendering bundles.

Say we want to render a javascript bundle, it's rendered as <script src="example.com/js?v=0.8.2103"></script>.

This works fine, but the problem is that the cache headers are not set properly (probably because we are doing it wrong). Please see attached image for further details.

Is there any way we can control the cache headers being sent? Ideally we want to control caching using E-Tags or manually setting cache expiration to a year because cache are busted each time we deploy a new release from octopus.

Comments: Hello, Peter! This functionality is implemented in the Microsoft ASP.NET Web Optimization Framework level. I recommend you write to authors of this framework - https://aspnetoptimization.codeplex.com/workitem/list/basic
